Here at Hogarths we love taking your favourite treats and turning them into something magical. As a nation, we adore it when our favourite flavours are re-imagined into boozy treats. We have taken everything from Parma Violets to Fruits Pastels and turned them into cocktails to remember.

When deciding on our next innovation – there was one sweet treat that we all were raving mad about. Perched in the pen at M&S, these perfectly piggy treats are a must have whenever we pop into the department store. So when it comes to creating a new Perfect Serve with the nation’s favourite sweet flavour well – this time – even we have outdone ourselves.

Here’s introducing The Pink Pig.

Made with your favourite M&S piggy treats, our Pink Pig cocktail contains Percy Pigs, a dollop of Percy Pigs sauce and garnished with a sweet amount of candy-floss. Creating a pig-tastic cocktail that you will love time and time again.

Our Pink Pig contains:

Gordons Pink Gin, (some of our bars may swap this to Puerto D’Indias Pink Gin) Strawberry Syrup, Cranberry Juice with M&S Percy Pig Sauce all Topped with Lemonade.

Available in Hogarths, this pink piggy potion will put a curl in your tail and leaving you oinking all night long.

Our Best Pancake Recipe Yet!

Pancake Day – One of the nation’s favourite celebrations. An entire day dedicated the fluffy, flour based treats that makes the entire of the British Isle go absolutely flippin’ mad.

Tuesday sees many of us grab our frying pans, clutching our spatulas and tossing multiples of these scrumptious snacks before coating them in an array of taste bud tingling toppings. From Lemon and Sugar to Chocolate & Strawberries, we love everything about pancakes and here at Hogarths we feel the passion for the pancake.

As many boozy blogs out there will be focusing on how to make your pancakes gintastic. We’ve decided this year that we would do something a little different and provide you with a pancake recipe that we believe is just simply rumtastic.

Here’s introducing Spiced Monkey Pancakes.

Based on the base recipe from the great minds at Spicy Southern Kitchen, our version is created from a concoction of spices, rum caramel sauce and topped with delicious bananas – resulting in a pancake recipe to rumember.

Here’s what you need

1 Large Banana

2 Medium Eggs

Splash of Vanilla Extract

½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon

 

Topping

Banana (sliced evenly)

Rum Caramel Sauce (https://spicysouthernkitchen.com/)

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

1/4 cup water

Tablespoon of Spiced Rum (we recommend Dead Man’s Finger or Cargo Cult)

How to Make these Perfect Pancakes

In a bowl, mash 1 large banana with a fork until it becomes puree

Stir in 2 beaten eggs and spices.

Heat a large non-stick frying pan or pancake pan over a medium heat and brush with ½ tsp oil.

Pour the mixture into the pan (depending on the size of your pancakes) and cook for 1-2 minutes each side.

How to Make Cracking Caramel Sauce

Combine all the ingredients together and bring to a boil.

Continue to boil until mixture thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and add your hearty splash of spiced rum.
